What is AP-ID-AP?

AP-ID-AP is an initiative by APSDA (Asia-Pacific Space Designers’ Association) to recognize professional Interior Designers in the Asia Pacific region. AP-ID-AP is the first and only accreditation program for Professional Interior Designers in the Asia Pacific region.

Through the program, APSDA aims to elevate the general standards of the Interior Design fraternity and eventually pave the way for the mobility of the profession within the region.

The program is being launched in two phases: Phase 1, which began on 28th March 2024, focuses on APSDA Member Economies with a Common Assessment Scheme, while Phase 2, set to launch on 20th July 2024, it is open for APSDA Member Economies without a Common Assessment Scheme.

Why is AP-ID important?
Professional Recognition and Mobility:

AP-ID-AP offers accredited interior designers a formal recognition of their qualifications and experience, enhancing their credibility. It also facilitates cross-border mobility, enabling designers to work seamlessly across the Asia-Pacific region, fostering regional collaboration and career growth.

Promotes Best Practices:

By establishing a common assessment framework among participating economies, AP-ID-AP ensures that accredited designers adhere to consistent professional standards. This encourages continuous learning, knowledge exchange, and the application of global best practices in interior design.

Cultural Exchange and Industry Development:

AP-ID-AP aims to nurture mutual understanding of regional cultures across the Asia-Pacific. This exchange enriches design approaches and contributes to the development of innovative interior solutions that respect local contexts while incorporating global trends.
